We have served the Syracuse community with excellent choral performances
and programming since 1973.
Our Mission
• To nurture a widespread appreciation for the art of chamber choral singing by performing consistently innovative and outstanding choral programs
• To provide an opportunity for exceptional local singers to demonstrate their skills and artistry in an ensemble setting
• To enhance the reputation and cultural resources of Central New York
• To offer outreach to younger singers of the greater-Syracuse community by encouraging their continued musical and vocal development
• To engage in the activity of choral singing for its intrinsic worth as an art form

The Syracuse Vocal Ensemble was
established in 1973, and has pursued
musical excellence for over 50 years.
Since its inception, the SVE has had
the pleasure of being under the
direction of nine talented directors.
The SVE has a repertoire that consists
of over 200 pieces, with many available
for lending.

There are several ways to support the mission of the Syracuse Vocal Ensemble!
SVE is holding auditions September 7th from 1:00-3:00 at Park Central Presbyterian Church. Prospective singers will sight sing, vocalize, and sing a prepared piece from the classical repertoire with accompaniment (please bring the sheet music for the accompanist.)
